coin flips

Heya!

So, it's pretty late right now, but I've kind of been meaning to talk about a sort of habit I've picked up a while back, that i think might be useful to other people as well.

So, for context, you gotta know that I'm actually a pretty indecisive person when it comes to very inconsequential stuff. Mostly that shows up when I'm trying to order something at a restaurant, for example. I often take a pretty considerable amount of time just trying to decide between two or three equally nice sounding options.

Well, no more! Because somewhat recently, I've decided to just do a coin flip anytime I'm faced with an inconsequential decision like that. The trick here though, is to not actually do whatever the coin flip says. It's about how the result of the coin flip makes you feel. It's kind of like, a preview of the consequence of actually making that decision, if that makes sense?

If i do the coin flip and feel disappointed by the outcome, then i choose the opposite thing. But if it's neutral, or i like the outcome, then i do whatever the coin flip says. It's a neat little trick to cut down on the time i take to decide ultimately pointless stuff. Maybe it'll help you too, who knows! Anyways, that's really all i have to say. Cya!
