I'm making a minecraft mod!
Heya!
It's been a couple days since I last posted. There's plenty of reasons for that, but one of them is the fact that I've gotten really into better than adventure. Specifically, better than adventure modding.
In case you haven't heard of it, BTA is basically a total conversion of Minecraft thats based off of Beta 1.7.3. It's pretty good, you should play it!
Anyways, I started out with modding due to wanting to make a nether torch. Better Than Adventure, among other things, adds a new type of coal into the game - Nether Coal. Now, while you can use it for a bunch of other stuff, Nether Coal doesn't have its own torch type. It just crafts into regular torches. I felt like that was a bit of a missed opportunity. So, I made a mod to fix that!
Anyways, that ended up being really fun and not as difficult as I expected, so I continued modding :3
Modding BTA is honestly a really fun experience - Much simpler than modding regular Minecraft. I've tried that before, but between proprietary formats and OOP hell, I just couldn't get my head around it. BTA is a lot more manageable, a lot simpler. Only problem being that barely anything is documented, but oh well.

The mod has yet to be approved by modrinth, but maybe its up by the time you're seeing this post! In case it isn't, you can just download the thing from github.
Anyways! Maybe I'll be doing some sort of devlog style post once I've added a bunch of stuff to the mod, we'll see.
