the evil and fucked up php vulnerability from hell
Heya!
You might've noticed that my guestbook website, guestbooks.kamiscorner.xyz was down for about 8 or so hours today. Well, it's back up now!
There was this really, really bad RCE vulnerability in PHP that got announced today (technically yesterday), for which a patch got released a couple hours ago. So, i had to take all my PHP stuff down for a good while, so it didn't get hacked. But hey, it's back up again, and we're running a secure php version!
As far as i know nothing bad happened, since i took everything down far in advance of the patch getting published, which is when shit really hits the fan vulnerability-wise since the patch fixing the issue obviously also reveals what the issue was in the first place.
sg.kamiscorner.xyz will still be down for a good while though, since I can't update that yet for reasons i don't really feel like explaining here. But i doubt anyone is relying on that thing anyways. I'd be concerned if you were.
TLDR; we're back up and running, and your data (what little of it i have, anyways) is safe.
